This is a vegan meal that does not contain any meat, fish, eggs, or dairy products.
We recommend this menu for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.
After a memorial service has filled your heart, a meal called otoki is prepared to satisfy your stomach. Nowadays, meals that please everyone are served, but in Kyoto, where Zen culture is deeply rooted, shojin ryori (vegetarian cuisine) has long been popular. We have adapted this shojin ryori (vegetarian cuisine) into a vegan kaiseki meal, allowing you to detoxify both your body and mind.
Enjoy your meal in a relaxing, private space.
Even if you are staying multiple nights, the menu will not overlap. Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies or food preferences.
You can also choose to have a standard kaiseki meal on your second night (a standard kaiseki meal includes meat and fish).
If you would like this option, please contact us at least three days before your arrival date (changes cannot be made on the day).
Guests who choose the two-board option will receive a complimentary Habariz mineral water, handy paper for tea ceremonies and outings, and SHIGETA cosmetics (women only).
[Seikaan] You will enjoy your Kyoto kaiseki meal in the Japanese-style room at the front, but if you wish, we can serve the final dish with thin tea in a small room at the back.
