<Autumn Yamagata Gourmet: Enjoying Imoni Hot Pot Plan!>
In autumn, riverbanks throughout Yamagata Prefecture are bustling with Imoni (taro stew) gatherings.
The Japan's No. 1 Imoni Festival is also famous. (Held on Sunday, September 20th, 2026)
The ingredients for Imoni hot pot vary by region.
In Yonezawa, taro, beef, konjac, green onions, and seasonal mushrooms are the main ingredients.
■Nakaya Bekkan Fudokaku's Way of Enjoying Imoni■
1. Savor Yamagata's famous Imoni hot pot.
2. Add curry roux to transform it into Imoni Curry!
3. Add udon noodles to finish.
"Isn't that unconventional?"
"Won't it just become regular curry?"
Don't worry! For Yamagata residents, Imoni Curry is common knowledge.
The exquisite harmony of sweet and spicy Imoni and rich, spicy curry provides a refreshing stimulus to a stomach that tends to lose its appetite due to summer fatigue!
Enjoy every bite, right down to the final curry udon.
